5th victory since the All Japan University Baseball Championship 2005

The 72nd All-Japan University Baseball Championship began on Monday, June 5th, and our university (representing Tohto University) won three games from the first game on Tuesday, June 6th at the Tokyo Dome. In the final on Sunday, June 11th at Meiji Jingu Baseball Stadium, we comfortably defeated Meiji University (representing the Tokyo Big Six Universities) 4-0, clinching our fifth championship since the 2005 tournament.

Tohto University Baseball Spring League victory: 13th victory, first in 17 years

Our university returned to the Tohto University Baseball Division 1 League in 2021, and won 10 consecutive games from the second game of the Tohto University Baseball Spring League, winning the league in a perfect victory by taking points from all teams, and clinching our 13th championship and first in 17 years since the spring of 2006.

Aoyama Gakuin University wins the 2023 Toho University Spring League! To commemorate the first victory in 17 years, Coach Ando and the baseball club's first female head teacher, Kon (Faculty of Global Studies), had a conversation! They talked about their feelings about baseball and their desire to win.

Captain Daisuke Nakajima (4th year, Faculty of Cultural Policy Studies) and Tohto Spring League MVP Shizuka Nishikawa (3rd year, Faculty of Law) are discussing the senior and junior students from Ryukoku University Heian High School. Also, a discussion between Aoyama Gakuin aces pitchers Yato Tsunehiro (4th year, Faculty of Law) and Kaito Shimomura (4th year, Faculty of Community and Human Sciences), who were MVPs in the All-Japan University Baseball Championship.

Kanako Kon

Kanako Kon, who has been the manager of the baseball team since her second year, is now in her fourth year and has been appointed as the first female chief manager of the traditional team. We asked Kon about the reasons for this season's success and her thoughts on the team.
