サービス・ラーニングや社会貢献活動を支える「シビックエンゲージメントセンター」
シビックエンゲージメントセンター（以下、CEC）は、学生の社会貢献活動をサポートする拠点として情報発信などを行っています。また「サービス・ラーニング」や社会貢献について、正課の青山スタンダード科目の授業を通して学ぶことが可能です。このようなCECを通じた取り組みについて、青山キャンパスと相模原キャンパスのCECを利用する学生と教員が語り合いました。

統計データサイエンス学環（仮称）を語る
2027年4月に設置構想中の、青山キャンパス初の理系の学士課程「統計データサイエンス学環（仮称）」では、統計学を体系的に学んでデジタル社会の問題解決に挑む最先端の理系教育を展開しながら、5つの連係協力学部のもとで分野横断型に学べる「学環」という新しい教育プログラムを提供します。学びの特長や卒業後の進路等について、学長と新学環開設準備室室長に聞きました。

Aoyama Museum opens to pass on the founding spirit of the school
On May 8, 2025, Aoyama opened the Aoyama Gakuin Museum as part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the founding of Gakuin. Aoyama The museum, located on the campus Majima Memorial Hall, exhibits a wide variety of materials, from valuable actual documents that convey the spirit of the founding of the school to a touch-screen digital archive, allowing visitors to experience the 150 years of its history.

Welcome to Maclay Memorial Hall!
In 2024, Maclay Memorial Hall, a comprehensive academic information facility that brings together the Main Library, Information and Media Center, and Academic Writing Center in one building, will open on Aoyama Campus as a place for students to expand their knowledge. How are students using this knowledge platform that expands their imagination and fosters their creativity? We will introduce this through videos and interviews featuring Aogaku.

"Meet up in AGU 2024" Report
"Meet up in AGU" is an industry-academia collaboration and research dissemination event that aims to widely introduce research at our university and create opportunities for joint research with industry and social contribution. This was the sixth time the event was held, and was held as a commemorative event for the 150th anniversary of the founding of Aoyama, with the theme "Resound Aogaku Mind: From Aoyama to the Future, the Waves of Innovative Research." A wide range of research that transcends the boundaries between the arts and sciences was introduced through poster sessions and other events.

In order to build a more specialized curriculum in line with the latest trends in mathematics and mathematical sciences, in April 2021, the Department of Physics and Mathematics in the Faculty of Science and Engineering was reorganized into two departments: Department of Mathematical Sciences and Department of Physical Sciences. As we approach the time when we will be sending off our first graduates, we will be featuring each department in two articles. In this issue, we will introduce the features of learning through a roundtable discussion between students and faculty from Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Aogaku Women's Volleyball wins the Autumn League and comes in second in the All Japan Intercollegiate Championships!
In this special feature, we asked captain Yajima Kaori and analyst Watanabe Momoka, who worked hard to analyze data for the players, to talk about their four years at Aogaku and the trajectory of their real-life battles. We also spoke with Hokohisa Karin, who supported the team as both a player and manager, and coach Akiyama Miyuki, who Hokohisa says she admires, about the style and strength of Aogaku Women's Volleyball.

Students working at the Information and Media Center
The Information Media Center is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the information environment infrastructure for Aoyama Gakuin University and the entire school, as well as university education using ICT and conducting research and studies related to that. This time, we will introduce the activities of the student part-timers at the Information Media Center, the "student staff" and "IT seminar assistants (hereinafter referred to as IT-A)" who support the education-related aspects of the center's activities.
