In this special feature, we asked captain Yajima Kaori and analyst Watanabe Momoka, who worked hard to analyze data for the players, to talk about their four years at Aogaku and the trajectory of their real-life battles. The Information Media Center is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the information environment infrastructure for Aoyama Gakuin University and the entire school, as well as university education using ICT and conducting research and studies related to that. This time, we will introduce the activities of the student part-timers at the Information Media Center, the "student staff" and "IT seminar assistants (hereinafter referred to as IT-A)" who support the education-related aspects of the center's activities.

On September 28, 2024, the "Celebrating Seiraku Kabuki" event was held at Aoyama Gakuin Auditorium to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Aoyama founding. TBS announcer Eto Ai (graduate of College of Literature Department of English) served as the general host, and the event featured a talk show by alumni kabuki actors Onoe Kikunosuke and Nakamura Kankuro, as well as a performance of "Renjishi" by Nakamura Shikan, Nakamura Hashinosuke, Nakamura Fukunosuke, and Nakamura Utanosuke, father and son.

The Disability Student Support Center opened in April 2018. In line with Aoyama 's educational policy of education based on Christian faith, the center provides various support activities to students with various disabilities, with the help of a specialized support coordinator and student supporters. We spoke to the center's director, support coordinators, student supporters, and students who receive support about the diverse activities they carry out.

In April 2024, the International Commons opened as a new hub for international communication at our university. Located on the first floor of Building 7 on Aoyama Campus, the International Commons is run by a five-member team from the International Center of our university, and promotes interaction between international and Japanese students, as well as between international students themselves.

The Academic Excellence Award is given to students enrolled in each faculty or graduate school who are in their second year or above and who are recognized as having excellent academic performance in the previous year. The award includes a plaque and a prize. In the 2024 academic year, 292 students were awarded the award.

Did you know that Aoyama dori, a street frequently walked by students and faculty members commuting to Aoyama Campus, has undergone an exponential transformation into a more beautiful street? Professor Norio Iguchi, who was born and raised near Aoyama Campus, lobbied the national government and requested cooperation from local governments, evolving it into a beautiful, scenic street that can be proud of on a global scale. We spoke to Professor Iguchi and Director Honda of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Tokyo National Highway Office about the long journey, present and future.

On March 14, 2024, the 2023 "Student Awards" and "Alumni Association Awards" ceremonies were held to recognize students and groups who have achieved outstanding results in academics and extracurricular activities. Of these, we spoke with Aoi Ota of the "Track and Field Club (Long Distance Block)" and Shigeo Nishikawa of the "Hardball Baseball Club," two of the three groups that were selected as the 2023 University Championships and the "Best Group" of the Aogaku Association Awards.

The library building, "Maclay Memorial Hall," opened in April 2024. In addition to the traditional library functions, it also brings together the functions of an Information Media Center and an Academic Writing Center, making it a new "knowledge hub." "Muscle" x "nutritional balance" has been gaining attention in recent years, and is of great interest to Aogaku. "Fitness" refers to exercise to maintain and improve health. We will thoroughly introduce the appeal of our university's Fitness Center (hereinafter referred to as AGU FC). Aogaku can use the center any time during opening hours and on opening days for a year, with a registration fee of 3,000 yen per year (2,000 yen for athletic association students).

Aoyama This year marks the 150th anniversary of the founding of the institute and the 75th anniversary of the opening of Aoyama Gakuin University. The construction of the library building was positioned as part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the institute, and the library building "Maclay Memorial Hall" was opened in this memorable year. The facility is named in honor of the first Chancellor Robert S. McRae, who founded the Mihai Theological Seminary, one of the three origins of the Aoyama institute.

Science is fun because it allows us to unravel the mysteries of "why?" In the first half of this special feature, graduates from the Faculty of College of Science and Engineering who were fascinated by the world of science talk about why they became interested in science and how they decided to follow their current paths. In the second half, we introduce the research that takes place in the Faculty of Science and Technology. In addition to laboratories that are making a variety of impacts on society, we also introduce students who are opening up new possibilities.
