Since its founding, Aoyama has based its education on Christian faith. This article will introduce the significance of Christian education at our university and the message conveyed through "worship services," the required course "Introduction to Christianity I," and other Christian-related subjects and activities. We will also address the key points for understanding the differences between our university and "Christian cults," which should be avoided.

Department of Human Rights was the first department in Japan to offer specialized studies in "human rights." The name "Human Rights" embodies the universal concept of human rights that transcends national borders. This spring, the department, which has addressed human rights issues from multiple perspectives with law as its foundation, will send off its first graduating class. In this interview, we spoke with three students about their studies and the growth they have gained from their learning in the department.

Studying abroad involves immersing yourself in a different culture and expanding your learning on a global scale. The Civic Engagement Center (CEC) serves as a hub for supporting students' social contribution activities, disseminating information and providing other support. Furthermore, students can learn about "service-learning" and social contribution through regular The Aoyama Standard courses. The "Statistical Data Science Interdisciplinary Program (tentative name)," the first science-based undergraduate program Aoyama Campus, is planned for establishment in April 2027. This program will offer cutting-edge science education that systematically teaches statistics to tackle problems in the digital society, while providing a new interdisciplinary educational program that allows students to learn across five collaborating faculties. With more companies aiming to secure talented young personnel early on, and job hunting becoming earlier and longer-term, how are Aogaku managing their job search while balancing it with their studies? On Wednesday, October 15th, career support staff from Aoyama Gakuin University and over 300 new graduate recruitment personnel from companies gathered at Sagamihara Campus (with some online participation) to share information on the current state of job hunting among Aogaku, how to cope with the earlier job search period, and their views on internships.

Aoyama Gakuin University University has systematized the entrepreneurship education that its faculties and graduate schools had been independently pursuing, creating a system that allows students from all faculties to learn about it. The aim is not simply to cultivate entrepreneurs, but to nurture individuals who can create new value in various fields of society and forge the future. The Academic Excellence Award is presented to students in their second year or above enrolled in each faculty or graduate school who have been recognized for their outstanding academic performance in the previous academic year. The award includes a commemorative plaque and a prize. In the 2025 academic year, 295 students received this award.

On May 8, 2025, Aoyama opened the Aoyama Gakuin Museum as part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the founding of Gakuin. Aoyama The museum, located on the campus Majima Memorial Hall, exhibits a wide variety of materials, from valuable actual documents that convey the spirit of the founding of the school to a touch-screen digital archive, allowing visitors to experience the 150 years of its history.

"Meet up in AGU" is an industry-academia collaboration and research dissemination event that aims to widely introduce research at our university and create opportunities for joint research with industry and social contribution. This was the sixth time the event was held, and was held as a commemorative event for the 150th anniversary of the founding of Aoyama, with the theme "Resound Aogaku Mind: From Aoyama to the Future, the Waves of Innovative Research." A wide range of research that transcends the boundaries between the arts and sciences was introduced through poster sessions and other events.
